Conversations with Evangeline...


#1....
Me: "Evangeline! Why would you take your poopy out of the toilet and smear it all over yourself?!"

Doodle: "Because I want to... and it's funny."

#2....
Me: "Evangeline, would you like me to pray before you get up (from time out) or do you want to?"

Doodle: (yelling out the top of her lungs) "JESUS SOFTEN MY HEART!!!!"

#3....
Me: "Evangeline, if you don't obey right now, you will get a spanking."

Doodle: "I LOVE spankings..."

#4...
Doodle: "Mommy... I'm a BAD attitude."

#5...
Doodle: "Mommy... I love you so much... even when you're disobedient and unkind."








My job, today, is to get my 3 page Christmas letter down to 1 page. Instead... my firstborn daughter has  decided that 3 pages of stories simply isn't enough...

                                                I might have to send it out in installments...

Sat in due to a cancelled date night since our eldest is not in the slightest leave-able with my mother-in-law tonight (she is far too easy a target), after a 45 minute wrangle over pyjamas - I just loved this post. Numbers 2 and 5 could have come out of the mouth of Nathaniel... Thank you for sharing - you brightened my not-planned-this-way evening!

Yeah - I spend a lot of time doing that! Usually followed by "Jesus help me! Now is good..." Have a great Christmas x
