My Sis

This post is dedicated to my sis, Reaghan. I couldn't imagine life without her. The first thing I ever thought of Reaghan was... Wow! My very own baby doll! I was ten years old when she was born and couldn't think of anything more fun than dressing her up in my baby doll clothes, strolling her around the house... dressing her up again...etc. Next came the birthday parties! Pony rides, petting zoo, even a jungle rain forest theme...complete with a safari hike through the hayfields with rainstorms (sprinkler) and scary animal attacks ( crazy older siblings in costumes)! The only thing I regret is not being able to talk her into a tea party(I'm not bitter). Anyway, all that to say that now we've entered a new stage in life... friends! It's been so much fun to watch her grow up, develope her own sense of style and taste, reach out to new mom's ( she's definitely the world's best babysitter) , I think she's even ,sort of, taken my place at home! She started out by moving into my old room and painting it blue (not bitter about that either)! LOL! She's also become a big help to my mom by helping around the house. Lately, as we've been hanging out and chatting, I've noticed a new sense of humility in her that I truely respect. I'm so proud of her for recognizing areas in her life that need change and even more importantly, taking action in making those changes. Anyone who knows my sis, knows what a sweet and sensative spirit she has and how much she genuinely cares for those around her.
Hey Reggy-Poo... I've had so much fun chillin' with you lately, concerts, sharing clothes, church 'theme' days! I'm grateful to God for you and I respect the way you've put Him first in your life. Love you!

Hello! It's so much fun reading your blog. I will have to agree with you, having younger sisters and all. It is truly amazing how much that sisterly relationship changes as we get older. My sisters are my best friends. They are so dear to me and it is true, how many times I am aware of how much I admire them as godly women. There is so much that I can learn from them. I am so grateful for them. Your words about Reaghan were very sweet. I love you and hope you are doing well today!

Yeah! I did cry as you honor your sister. Being one of the many who was truly blessed by Reaghan's star babysitting skill, I can second her genuine desire to help moms and care for young children. Thanks Reaghan! You are becoming a godly young lady and I am humbled to be counted amoung your friends. I hope my girls have as close and sweet relationship as you guys have. I love you both!

Jess, As you well know I adore your sister Reaghan. I am so excited to see the way God is changing her and speaking to her. I don't think she realizes what a gem she is... I sure do though! Reaghan is such a life saver. She has helped watch the kids for me on numerous occasions and she was someone I always knew I could be real with, no matter how ugly that looked. She's even cleaned up my children's throw-up- that's love right there! Can't wait to see her and you soon!

Love,

JL
