Ballet Shoes


My new favorite movie! Its BBC, but my dear Davy picked it up at red box tonight. It's got the key ingredients of a perfect 'Jessica Movie'... yes friends, I'm claiming this one! Let's see... babies found in carpet bags (a lifelong dream of mine has always been to find a baby in a carpet bag), Russian Ballerinas, a young actress finding herself as the lead role in 'Alice in Wonderland' (complete with the ribbon in hair), glamour, love, there's even tap dancing! Most of you will even recognize some of the actors from your favorite Jane Austen films. This is a must watch! And if you're as lucky as I am... your fabulous husband will watch it with you!

Lauren, I totally think you could watch it! It's pg because there's a lot of smoking... no language or anything else questionable. Tell your mom to call me if she has any questions, but I think it's fine. Miss you!

My girls and I watched the movie this afternoon at Rebekah's house. We definitely could see why you would claim this one...very Jessica!
I enjoyed the cinematography and costumes. I would have liked to see the characters developed more. The movie was over too soon. I wanted to know more about them? What do you think?

Katherine, I totally agree... I almost said that in my post, but I wanted people to decide for themselves. I loved the cinematography... the choice of music... and of coarse, the babies in the carpet bags. Glad you guys had some girl time!

hey ms. jessica, the ewbank family just watched ballet shoes and didn't give it too many thumbs up. in our opinion the actress and dancer were way too full of themselves. we didn't enjoy how bossy and disrespectful they were. it had great potential but it lost us a few times. congrats on the new baby. we'll be keeping in touch and holding you up in prayer.
