Late Night Conversations...

There's nothing very witty or funny about this conversation... other than the fact that we're desperately trying to have some sort of coherent conversation... and missing the mark on so many levels.

Me: "Baby... I think I've lost my touch."
Davy: "What touch?"
Me: "Maybe I never even had it."
Davy: "What are you talking about?"
Me: "I don't know. I just can't get it together. I'm over it."
Davy: "Well... you've had a rough go. But this is a new phase. Things are looking up."
Me: "What are you talking about?"
Davy: "It's been a rough week, but Elliot's sleeping better. What are you talking about?"
Me: "Uhhh... Life... and the last 10 years have been a rough go."
Davy: "Oh."
(long pause)
Davy: "D@#m this scale... it won't go under 190.2!!! I bet I'll break the barrier tomorrow."
Me: " Yeah, I haven't seen 135 in a good 24 hrs... whatever. Oh Cr@p! Did I just zone out and miss my favorite girl?! THAT'S IT!!" (SYTYCD)
Davy: "I guess you have lost it."
(meanwhile... Elliot wakes up hungry. Keep in mind, I just fed him and put him to bed 2 hrs. ago)... AND SCENE.

I guess we'll get back on the 'same page' one of these days.

Yeah, well at least you are just waiting to get back on the "same page". I tell Charlie all the time that I wish we were just in the same library. Then at least we could eventually make it to the same section, same shelf, same book, and then mayyyybbbbeee the same page.

And just think after that the same paragraph and hopefully by the time Christ returns the same paragraph.

We have a looonnnngggg way to go! You are closer than I am ;-)

Ps. You are normal!

Oh. My. Gosh. I swear we could be related. Michael and I have had so many moments where he's talking about the exact opposite thing but we both think we're tracking with the other. And the baby waking up after you JUST FED HIM... my life! If he's not up Audrey is and pulling some shenanagin. It never ends.

Please keep writing! I've had quite a few days where your stories have made my day and given me the push to laugh at myself and laugh at the kiddos. Thank you and great job! You're doing a great job raising your kids. :)
