You have to be Assertive...
I am still chuckling to myself over the amount of 'blogg-able' material that I stumbled upon while driving up to Williamsburg. I honestly have been sitting here, wracking my brain, trying to remember specific conversations... but my memory fails me quickly these days. I do, however, remember our first hysterical moment that really started our trip off in true 'Rickards' fashion.
My mom: "Man, traffic here is horrible... and it's getting worse. People from out of town say they hate driving here."
Me: "Really? I guess I'm just used to it."
Mom: "Yeah... me too. But people are crazy out there."
Me: "Well, the thing is (I say confidently, while changing lanes with ease)... You have to be on top of it... you have to be ASSERTIVE."
Mom: "That's right, you gotta stay one step ahead of the game."
Me: "That's right."
Mom: " Wait! That was our exit!"
